M22 14 mm vs 15 mm: what to measure
A replacement hose may thread onto the washer but still leak at the seal. M22 names the outer thread; 14 mm or 15 mm describes the inner sealing connection.
What to do
- Turn off the washer, release pressure, and disconnect the hose.
- Check the model label and manufacturer fitting specification.
- Measure the inner sealing stem with calipers. Do not measure the outer threaded ring.
- Record whether the mating end is male or female, and check the pressure rating.
If the inner size is missing, pause the purchase. A thread match alone is not enough.
