1. Choose the connection point
The finder checks the washer outlet to hose inlet, or the hose outlet to spray gun inlet. Water supply inlets, spray wands, and nozzles use different parts.
Identify a fitting
Turn off the washer, release pressure, and disconnect the hose before inspecting a fitting. Use the model label and manufacturer instructions when available.
2. Check the end shape
A male end has an external threaded stem or a plug. A female end has internal threads or a socket. Look at the two ends that actually meet; do not infer from the opposite end of the hose.
3. Measure an M22 seal
M22 describes the outside thread. Some fittings use a 14 mm inner seal and others a 15 mm inner seal. Measure the inner sealing stem shown below, across its diameter. The outer threaded ring is not the measurement you need.
Measure here: across the inner sealing stem. Record 14 mm or 15 mm. If you cannot measure it reliably, leave the size unknown.

4. Check quick connects and ratings
A quick connect uses a plug and socket rather than M22 threads at the joint. Check its specified size and the exact mating parts in the manufacturer documentation. Also confirm the hose, gun, and any adapter are rated at or above your washer’s operating pressure in psi.
